Christmas is a celebration that is filled with delight, great joy, cheerfulness and worship in the life of Christians, We celebrate the birth of our Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour.
On 24th Dec 2019 Christmas eve, Milagres choir sang the Christmas carols, followed by Eucharistic celebration at 7:30pm in open church grounds and people came to church participated in the festive mass. Parish priest Rev. Fr .Joseph Lobo celebrated the mass, assistant parish priest Fr. Anil Pinto proclaimed the word of God and Fr. Micheal Santhumayor, Rev. Fr. Maxim D’souza, and Rev. Fr. Kenneth Crasta concelebrated the mass. After the mass, people wished each other expressing their joy and happiness and welcoming the Lord. Children celebrated this festival with joy and were excited for the chocolates given by Santa Claus.
Milagres youth had conducted games like housie-housie & American auction of Christmas kuswar basket. Housie housie event was sponsored by Mr. Stany Baretto. The winner of full house in housie-housie was given Rs. 5,000/- and star & each line winners were awarded Rs. 1,000/- each. People as well as the children enjoyed the programme. The fund raised from this event was contributed to Milagres youth – ICYM fund.
