Rev Fr. Anil Roshan Lobo, our Asst. Parish Priest had been a part of Milagres family for the past one year. Upon his transfer orders to Panja as a Parish Priest, a farewell was organized before his departure.
On the 28th May 2017, Fr. Anil Roshan Lobo celebrated the Holy Eucharist, as a Thanksgiving Mass at 7 a.m. together with the Parish Priest and all other resident priests of Milagres. After the mass Fr. Anil Alfred D’Souza, Director of Family Life, a resident priest of Milagres, compered a short felicitation program, organized by the Parish Council leadership and members.
Our Parish Priest Fr. Valerian D’Souza thanked Fr. Anil Lobo for his dedicated service to Milagres parish in various ways and honoured him with a bouquet of flowers along with other resident priests. The Vice President and Secretary of the Council also honoured him with flowers.
Fr. Anil Lobo in reply thanked the Parish Priest for the love, care and support he gave during his one year’s stay in Milagres which made his stay comfortable and memorable. Fr. Anil expressed the friendly atmosphere and cooperation among the resident priests which made the year pass so quickly. He also thanked the parishioners for their support and participation in every event and activity. On the 2nd of June
On the 2nd of June, Fr Valerian D’Souza, Fr Michael Santhumayar, Fr Anil D’Souza, and the parishioners went to reach Fr. Anil Lobo to Panja, to his new parish. Upon arrival at Panja, the Pariest Priest Fr. Anil D’Mello received our Fr. Anil Lobo along with their Parish Council leaders, members and the parishioners. Vicar Var Fr Alfred Pinto was also present. The Oath taking ceremony and the procedure of handing over the Parish records took place officiated by the Vicar Var of Udupi diocese Rev. Fr. Alfred Pinto. The outgoing Parish Priest of Panja Rev Fr. Anil D’Mello welcomed the new Parish Priest Fr. Anil Lobo and gave a brief history of Panja parish, its existence and the poor yet generous people living there. He also expressed their love, co-operation and dedication towards the church and the Parish Priest.
In conclusion Fr. Anil Lobo thanked the Milagres clergy and its parishioners for accompanying him to Panja and requested all to keep him in prayer and to visit him whenever possible.
The program was concluded at 5.30pm followed by refreshments.
