  1. Election for the Office Bearers of Catholic Sabha will take place on Monday, March 4th at 5.30p.m.  in the Monica Hall.   For details refer the Notice Board.
  1. Season of Lent: We begin the Holy Season of Lent with Ash Wednesday on 6th March 2019.   Lent is a

season  of  grace  which  helps all  the  faithful  to  celebrate  the  Easter Mystery namely Passion, Death

and Resurrection of Christ meaningfully. On Ash-Wednesday Holy Masses: 6.00a.m., 7.00a.m., 8.00a.m. (in English),             5.00p.m. & 6.00p.m.  Ashes will be imposed during all the Masses.

          In Lent Ash-Wednesday and Good-Friday are days of fasting & abstinence and all Fridays are days of abstinence.                 The age group between 18 to 59 years are bound by the church law of fasting and all who have completed 14 years                 are    bound by abstinence rule.

       Way of the Cross:

Morning at 6.30a.m. , 7.30a.m. and evening at 5.45p.m. inside the Church.

Sundays at 4.30p.m. inside the Church

                Note: Coming Friday on 8th, Way of the Cross at  5.00p.m. because of the Retreat.

  1. The Annual Retreat begins on Thursday and continues till Sunday, 7th to 10th March 2019 in the Open-air Church Grounds in the evening between 5.00p.m. to 8.00p.m. A well known Scripture Professor       Rev.Fr. George Kumblumoottil Antony will preach the Retreat in English which will be translated into Konkani.  I request all the Parishioners to attend the Retreat.  I also invite you to inform your friends to attend the Retreat.  If elderly/sick persons wish to attend the Retreat, their Vehicles will be allowed through St. Monica Chapel Gate.  Please collect the Vehicle Pass from the Office on Thursday.  Coming Saturday and Sunday evening Masses both English and Konkani stands cancelled because of Retreat.  We have Sunday Mass together with Retreat in Konkani.
  1. Volunteers are requested to arrange Chairs for the Retreat on Thursday, 7th March 2019, at 7.30a.m.
  1. The Department of Hotel Management (B.Sc. HS) of Milagres College is organizing a one day food festival ‘RELISH -2K19’ tomorrow/today from 7.00a.m. to 7.00p.m. at our Church Grounds. There will be delicious food items including breakfast items.  Mangalorean sarpathel and pork preparation will be available in take away packets.  We request you to visit the counters and support the students of our Institution.   1. The election Commission has notified that the Youth and those who have not registered their name in the Voter List are to register their name on the following dates in their respective Election Booths.

March 2nd 2019               –           Saturday (today)

March 3rd 2019                –           Sunday (tomorrow)

Time 10.00a.m. to 5.30p.m.   You are also required to find out whether your name is in the Voters List.  Do not miss this opportunity.

Youth who have completed 18 years are requested to register their name for Voter I.D. in their respective local booths.

  1. Youth: An Experience with Jesus” Prayer meeting is organized by St. Joseph Seminary, Jeppu & Episcopal City Varado on Thursday, 14th March 2019 from 6.30p.m. to 8.00p.m. Place:  St. Joseph Church Grounds, Jeppu.  All the Youth are invited to participate in this spiritual exercise.
