  1. There will be a meeting of the Monthi Feast Committee and Gurkars on Monday, 27th August at 6.00p.m. in the Parish Hall.

 

  1. Novena: The Novena for the feast of Nativity of Blessed Virgin Mary begins on Thursday, 30th August. On Thursday the evening Mass will be at 5.30p.m. & after the Mass we have Novena prayers and presentation of flowers to Infant Mary. We request the parents to encourage their children to attend regularly for Novena and present flower to Mother Mary

Donors are requested to come forward to Sponsor the sweets to children on Novena Days & festive expenses of Month Feast. Mordoms fees Rs.500/-. The major expenses is for Pendol Rs.62,000/- Sound System including C.C.T.V. Rs.18,000/-. Donors names will be announced on Novena days and prayers will be offered for their Intentions.

We celebrate Monthi Fest on Saturday, 8th September. Holy Masses 6.00a.m. is the first Mass followed by 8.30a.m. the Solemn Festive Mass in Konkani, and evening at 4.30p.m. (English) & 5.30p.m. (Konkani) Sunday Obligation Mass.

  1. details on the Nativity of Mother Mary’s Feast: The begins at 7.15a.m. All the parishioners are requested to assemble at Attavar B.V. Road Junction at 7.00a.m. Since this is the only one annual Procession of the Parish all the Parishioners are requested to assemble at the starting point. route: Attavar Junction connecting Sturrock Road, touching the Mother Teresa Road at Avery Junction, leading to the main entrance of the Church. You can get your Vehicles to the starting point and join the . The First Holy Communion children of this year are requested to join the Procession with First Communion dress, to add the Solemnity to the Procession.

Before the Solemn Mass Mordoms & Sponsors will be honoured. We have made elaborate arrangements for seating for all the people on Monthi Fest day including C.C.T.V. facility

 

  1. The traditional Novena Prayers for Infant Mary will take place at the residence of Mr. & Mrs. Nigel & Marina Pereira, B.V. Road, Attavar, St. Joseph Ward from Thursday, 30th August at 6.45p.m. All are requested to attend the Novena Prayer.
  2. The election of the Directors of M.C.C. Bank will be held tomorrow/today at St. Aloysius High School, Mangalore. The Shareholders are requested to take active part in the election.
  3. We are organizing Retreat for Senior Citizens on 3rd and 4th September, on the Word of God. Retreat will be in English. Venue: Monica Chapel. Time: 9.00a.m. to 1.00p.m. Kindly register your names in the Parish Office.

 

  1. The Christian Mothers Sodality will be celebrating the Feast of St. Monica on Monday, 27th August, at 4.30p.m. in St. Monica Chapel. All are cordially invited.

 

  1. Sunday collection on 19th August is Rs.1,78,310/-, We have sent this amount to Bishop’s House for the flood Victims of Kerala State. We appreciate the Donors who have given the Household items like Rice etc. Your response for the flood victims is gratefully acknowledged.
