Election of the Ward Representative for St. Francis Xavier Ward will take place tomorrow/today after 7.00a.m. Mass, whereas the election of the Gurkar and Ward Representative for the newly formed Ward named Christ the King, which was part of St. Francis Xavier Ward will take place after 8.15a.m Mass.  Both Ward election will take place in the Parish Hall.  The Ward members above the age of 18 years are requested to attend the meeting.
  1. First Holy Communion is fixed on Sunday, 6th May 2018.  4th Std children are eligible to receive First Holy Communion.  There will be a meeting of the Parents of the children who are going to receive First Holy Communion, on Friday, 19th January 2018 at 6.30p.m. in St. Monica Chapel.  Parents kindly attend the meeting.
  1. A get-together is arranged for our Parish Senior Citizens on Wednesday, 24th January, from 10.00a.m. to 2.00p.m. in the Parish Hall. The Lunch Coupons can be obtained from the Office on payment of Rs.100/- only.
  1. The Diocese of Mangalore has taken up the Theme “Holy Rosary for the year 2018-’19.  This is to commemorate the 450 years of history of the Cathedral, which is dedicated to the Holy Rosary.  I appeal to all the Parishioners to imbibe the spirituality of the Rosary and pray the Rosary with family members. Rosary is a gift given by our Heavenly Mother to protect our family and family life. Let us recite the Rosary and bring Blessing to our family.
  1. The Government of India is organizing Pulse Polio Programme on Sunday, 28th January 2018 for the children below 5 years.  All the Parents are hereby informed to visit the nearby Public Health Centre, Anganavadi, Lady Goschen Hospital, Wenlock or any private Hospital and get the child immunized against Polio disease.

We thank Ms. Prescilla Rodrigues for her dedicated service during her tenure as President of

Legion of  Mary.  Legion of Mary is a spiritual association to imbibe the spirituality of Mother

Mary for women. I appeal to all women who can spare weekly one hour for the Legion of Mary

Association meeting to come forward and register their names in the Church Office.

 

  1. The election for   the  Office-bearers   of Secular Franciscan Order will be   held   on Tuesday, 16th January at 4.30p.m. at Monica Hall.  All the members are requested to attend the meeting.

Episcopal City Varado is organizing a get-together on Friday, 26th January 2018 for children as part of the “Year of Rosary ”.  Children from 4th to 7th std. will be the participants.  Our Catechism Teachers will identify and accompany them to the Venue-namely Rosario Cathedral Church Hall.  The Programme begins at 9.00a.m. and conclude at 4.00p.m. Registration fees Rs.100/-. Parents please co-operate.
  1. Sunday Collection on 7TH January is Rs.40,750/-.  We have sent this amount to Bishop’s House towards the maintenance Retired Priests.  Thank you for your generosity
